This year was suppose to be a lot easier. Well, not with all the rain and cold weather. Beds that normally need 1 to 2 weedings now are on their third and fourth. Winter rain, ice, and snow just sat on the ground because it was so saturated and killed a new bed of lavender. We are replanting with raised rows and culinary varieties. We use our horses to do an initial prune job around the lavender bed in the lower pasture. They do a good job, while saving us food costs and weedwacking energy. We hope to see you at the Lavender Festival July 10 and 11 from 10 - 5 pm.
